i'm not native speaker so the question is if the following means that it can only be exploited if a browser is also involved or the same holes are in same firefox version and could be then exploited?
or is other case meant?

What they mean is when you load web pages within Thunderbird itself. It essentially has a full browser built in and you can open websites in tabs in Thunderbird.
Also, these posts about security issues are unnecessary. It's assumed any browser/email client update will have some security issues being patched. Please stop posting about it over and over. That statement I made about security issues is only for when an app is out of date, not being actively being worked on/built, and has a security issue that's currently in the wild in which case it needs to be patched sooner.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
