i downloaded this app few days back, but it did not start. today i downloaded again. but on my xp sp2 machine it does not start.
however when i go to app/virtualmagnifyingglass folder, & click on magnifier.exe, it works.
does anyone have a idea, what i should look for ?

just now i transferred the folder of virtual magnifying glass portable from my desktop to the root of my harddrive, & it works. so the long name of desktop folder (c:\documents and settings\user\desktop\virtualmagnifyingglassportable) was a problem

It's not the long path or the spaces. I have it running just fine right now from:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\VirtualMagnifyingGlassPortable
So it must be something else on your PC.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Do you have a file called C:\Documents or C:\Documents.exe?
It doesn't work on my computer, most likely because it doesn't have quotes within ExecWait.
Edit: Confirmed that it's calling C:\Documents.exe - You need quotes.
And why are you assuming that magnifier.ini exists? The launcher should be checking that it exists first before renaming it.
