Since few days I am not able to install any update.
PortableApp version is 30.1.3
Windows version is 11 24H2
Upgrading manually works like described here:

Searching the Forum I found no hints regarding to my issue.

Is there already an existing solution?
We haven't changed anything in our networking, server, updater, etc. Did anything change on your end? New VPN, proxy, antivirus, antimalware, security software?
The PA.c Platform uses the built in Windows internet components to download, so whenever something breaks them, it breaks your updates.

There where only Windows-Updates in the last weeks.
My Assumption is, that something blocks http-connections?
But until now I did not find anything. For a short test I disabled Windows defender and windows firewall.
Today I tested a second time the deactivation of Windows defender. Result was TeamViewer has downloaded and installed successful but firefox not.
With Windows 10 on my tablet there are no problems with PortableApps updates.
Some time ago I had problems downloading and/or updating and it was due to a slow mirror of sourceforge on my country.
Try downloading a copy of Firefox (other language but English) from https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable and change sourceforge mirror (click !Problems Downloading" and choose another mirror) and see if download is faster and complete.

There where sometimes slow download connections. But then it takes some minutes until the download ends successfully. The error message appears immediately after starting the update installation.
Downloading via internet browser is successfull in every case.
For example:

The Windows internet components aren't used by Firefox, Chrome, Edge, etc. They're used by Windows itself, apps that use the Windows internet components APIs, Internet Explorer, etc.

Today I want to do a deeper research with sysinternals Process Monitor. After starting the update for Firefox the download and installation finished slow but successful. Now I have no explanation for this behavior.
Try to update GIMP and ClamWin was not successful.
For a furthermore test I stopped two services:
HP Sure Click Endpoint Service
HP Security Update Service
After that GIMP was updated successful.
Starting ClamWin-Update, ther was a short Windows security message.
ClamWin is an very old and not necessary Software so did a deinstallation.
While the GUI is quite old and hasn't been updated, I've been updating the underpinnings so they work with the current ClamAV definitions and scanner.

Thank you for the information - good to know.
