Starting a few months ago, went you install Utility/CCPortable and run it for the first time, it asks/forces you to upgrade it. When you do, you end up with a program installed in "C:\Program Files\Piriform\CCleaner 7\CCleaner.exe" ...
THIS IS NOT A PORTABLE APP. Please remove it from the Platform.

Automatic updates are disabled by default in ccPortable. It will offer you with a notification window to update in the lower right of the screen. You can close that with the X in the upper right. If you click Upgrade, it will install on your local PC.
Most portable software doesn't know how to update portably and the internal updaters should not be used as they will install locally. The only exceptions are stated like Firefox and Thunderbird.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
