Hi,
today I downloaded the portable ClamWin App and started a scan. When I last used it some years ago it scanned everything and I had a progress info in the Scan Window itself.
This version now opens a command line, saying Loading:... 3,63m sigs
then it perfoms x of 41 tasks and then closes directly.
This is not how it behaved in the past. I don't see the scan results because the command line closes instantly. In the ClamWin scanning window it says Completed directly after it started with no other whatsoever.

Is this a legitimate version? I downloaded it from portableapps.com but feel somewhat insecure about the strange behavior.

ClamWin the app can't handle the modern ClamAV scanner. I built a shim that open the log directory as it opens the command line. There's a file called "_Open ClamScanLog.txt After Scanning and Closing Window.txt" inside that directory. Essentially, let it run as is with the command line window open. It'll close when it's done. Then close the "ClamWin Free Antivirus: Scan Complete" window. Then open the file ClamScanLog.txt at it'll show you your results.
It's convoluted as ClamWin itself is abandoned. I update the command line ClamAV scanner that is used within to the current version and built a shim to help users find the results. At least somewhat.
