Hi I tried to register for the Eclipse community however I could not get past the registration question since I have only used Windows 10 once.
Which features are part of Windows 7 and which are part of Windows 10?
Please drag the options to the correct list, to avoid automated registrations.
So my question for R3dfox portable.
How does one disable Smooth Scrolling?
I have unchecked it under Settings>General>Browsing yet it keeps happening.
This makes it take too long to scroll while using the mouse wheel.
Thanks in advance.
Do you have third party software like Logitech Options or similar installed and have it turned on within there? You may need to disable it entirely there, at the OS level, or per-app in some third party mouse drive. Just some options to try.

"Do you have third party software"
No, just Ublock that came with R3dfox and a custom userChrome file that I have used on other firefox versions.
The problem doesn't happen on any other browsers.
If anyone would be so kind, maybe they could contact the admin of the Eclipse community and point out that the reason people are using r3dfox is because they are using Win7 and haven't used 10 or 11 and therefor do not know how to answer the registration question.
I meant to you have any third party mousing software at the OS level, not as an extension. Sometimes third party mouse software will force smooth scrolling within some browser but not others.
I fired up my clean Windows 7 64-bit virtual machine and installed r3dfox Portable. Disabling Smooth Scrolling in the manner you mention above works as expected and immediately turns off as soon as I uncheck it.
Please temporarily install a clean copy of r3dfox Portable to your Desktop directory without importing setting or logging in to sync. Then see if it works there. If it does, it's likely something wonky with your profile. If it doesn't, it's something with your PC/Windows. If you're using 32-bit Windows, it's another story as I haven't tested that.

Like I wrote, no. It's 64bit, 7 professional and I don't think 7 had any OS level things that interfere with that like 10 and 11 do, which is yet another reason it is so much better.
Do you know of another manner to disable smooth scrolling?
It is possible it could be some conflict in the UserChrome file? It was designed for a much older version of firefox (I copied it from a help forum like this), it is lengthy, it works, but I do not have the knowledge to edit it.
However, I already tried disabling the userchrome file (ie. adding .old to the suffix) and restoring to defaults and the problem persisted.
Again, I presume someone on the r3dfox Eclipse forum https://board.eclipse.cx/ might know the answer to this but my version of Win 7 is so well customized and that I have such little experience with Win 10 or 11 I do not know how to answer the registration question because I have some features 10 and 11 might have.
Please try a fully clean install temporarily to your Desktop directory. It'll help you figure out if it's your profile or your OS causing the issue. r3dfox itself can have smooth scrolling disabled without issue with a clean profile on a clean copy of Windows 7, so it's either your profile or something in your OS that's messing with it.
