My Tbird 52.8 and FF 115 started "hanging" more and more frequently. FF got to the point of not functioning at all with "not responding" message. I tried my previous back-up stick with the same versions - both plugged in. FF is OK, but when I tried to update TB to version 60 from About TB it lost many buttons and screwed up fonts.
Worst of all, the updater sneaked into the primary stick as well and tried to update TB there! I stopped it by ending the process and deleted update.exe, but now TB will not start with the message of missing mozglue.dll.
I do not want any updates and am afraid to reinstall even the same version as problems always arise. How can I just restore that missing file and make sure nothing will evenr update automatically?
Please, reply with detailed instructions as I'm not a tech junkie...Thank you
ps there is a very strange fact I cannot explain: TB backup version was and is very bulky, takes over 1gig of space while the newer one takes just over 300mb. Deleting messages and compacting folders did not make a dent while the rest of the messages are almost the same. What gives?
