Here's a summary of the ReSynthesizer plugin informations:

The current version of ReSynthesizer is v3.0.1, released on March 31, 2026, but it's only available as source code,
and the author has clearly stated that he doesn't intend to compile his own sources (nor does he intend to provide a compilation guide for Windows).
After a short search I found that there is only one programmer who compiled the sources to obtain an executable for Windows:
his nickname is "JamesH" and he is an author on the GIMP CHAT forum url:www.gimpchat.com.
The ReSynthesizer builds I found on this forum are:

- build 05/06/2025 --> Gimp Chat

The ReSynthesizer executables in the 05/06/2025 releases are the same.
However, it's best to download the two builds and merge them as they contain different plugins.

How do I get an updated resynthesizer executable?
My advice is:
1. Register on the Gimp Chat forum at www.gimpchat.com
2. Write a post requesting the updated resynthesizer executable (Windows version, no console)
3. Don't forget to include in your post:

I've updated to the plugin installer to these later packages. All plugins are included except Sharpen by Synthesis and Enlarge and Sharpen by Synthesis as these are discontinued by the publisher because: "I dropped them because most people don't use them, and there are better alternatives."

Note that it's still a buggy plug-in setup and will occasionally cause gdbus to be stuck running requiring the use of Task Manager to shut it down.
