Can we or do we already have an open source type remote desktop app we can use?
Can we develop an easy to use remote desktop app? Would it be too difficult to do so?
Reason is that sometime we need to use something that is just way too big to carry on a port drive, so remote-ing in would help. for example access pics or vids or files on your home desktop or server etc...
Just wondering.... let me know...thanx in advance~AJ

Rdesktop is open source and is licenced under GPL.

Would be nice not to use linux all the time and would save space on my flash drive.

uvnc.com - good VNC software.
UVNC is good but I use remote desktop sometimes because it is a little faster when I have to use dialup. The other problem is remote desktop leaves thing behind when I use other peoples computers.
LogMeIn - Portable Yes, Free No. LogMeIn Ignition is a free trial software, then you pay a monthly fee.
logmein is free, just not initialy. when you sign up for the free trial it sets you up with a premium account. if you go to your account settings, there is an option where you can choose compleatly free. it is not nearly as good as the buesness edition but it works.

Hello,
I wrote a how-to at the Hamachi forums on how I bundled Portable Hamachi and PCHelpware into a single executable you can send to friends and family so you can remote into their PC's.

Why do I need to use the search? I didn't think I was asking a question that requires me to use the search to find the answer.
i was kinda brain-dead yesterday.
