SourceForge / PortableApps. I'm no longer can download Google Chrome Portable version 137 and lower, "online.paf", no access to server. But I can download Supermium versions 122-144 (offline installers, as God has bequeathed to us), which is a complete clone of Chrome in terms of interface, there are no new settings, no new checkboxes, no new icons on the top panel of the browser. The changes are only in the "stuffing".
I understand that there are Google's nanal rules. But what about supporting the latest versions of the year/half-year, and more precisely the latest in the primary part of the version number?
For example Google Chrome 143 latest Chrome 2025.12. Google Chrome 143.0.7499.193 (2026.01) latest Chrome among 143 >>
"GoogleChromePortable_143.0.7499.193_online.paf.exe" let it stay on the servers longer
For me, this is an obvious/another "Goodbye Chrome" situation. At least for now.
The online installers download the Chrome installers from Google. Google has removed those older installers. They should not be used as they're insecure anyway
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Oh, it's even worse than I thought. I thought download was coming from PortableApps servers. Damn Google.
I can't agree with you that older versions of browsers aren't needed. I'm a Firefox user on 95%. I recently came across an html-game that I want to play. It fundamentally does not work properly on Firefox, and the developer says that the game is being developed for Chrome and Opera, and he doesn't have time for other browsers. But the difference in graphics is huge in favor of Firefox, and I'm studied the old Chrome and Opera, 2023-2025, and can't say that the graphics engine in them is only improving (now I'm looking for a Chromium-browser with good image quality output). This is if we are talking specifically about html-games. As an example.
