Success

Gave it a try, worked no problem (I personally don't check the registry for new entries or the filesystem for leftover files).

Even though the program is pretty small to begin with, you could compress ..\LockNotePortable\App\LockNoteLockNote.exe down to half it's size with UPX.

Thanks.

So you've compressed it, does it still run alright? And thanks for the tip, I always forget what I've done with a program.

Good call

Using a compressed LockNote.exe, the program seemed to encrypt a .txt file OK, but crapped out when trying to decrypt it so one of the two processes gets messed up by the compression.

Final word: don't UPX compress the LockNote.exe file. It's pretty small to begin with anyways.

Note.

It won't be hosted on this site eh? It will be hosted on my future site at [URL removed by moderator JTH. As already noted, you can not self-promote your website.].

Sorry John, that wasn't my intention, I just didn't want him under the impression my portable apps were part of this wonderful site, as they're not very good. Sorry.

Clarification...

I do believe this was a Sourceforge project prior to Steganos acquiring it in some way.

Steganos.

Chose to create it as an open source project in the beginning. I think. But it is my them, and it is open source.

I wonder...

If this one could go on PortableApps.com, as it seems to be a popular program.

If you see this John, let me know.
