Plugins

Installed TBP 2.0.0.5 on U3 thumb from TBP site, not U3 site. Copied over Profile and all is fine. Except, do not have any plugins. There are 3 plugin folders:
1) TBP/app/default data/data/plugins
2) TBP/data/plugins
3) TBP/data/profile/plugins.

Folders 1 @ 2 each have one file only, ""plugins_readme.txt" which states to "install FireFox plugins in this directory."

Believe what is meant is to install Thunderbird plugins here?

Secondly, going back to my hard disk, TB 2.0.0.5, there are no plugins in the plugins folder in the profile, nor on C:\Mozilla\Thunderbird, nor in docs & settings.

Should I in fact copy over the FF plugins here? And if so to which of the 3 folders? (FYI, in FFP I where there are also 3 plugin folders I copied them to both FFP/app/default data/ff/plugins. and app/default data/plugins/, Hopefully one can be eliminated?)

Wait.

Only U3 programs can be installed to the U3 menu, meaning Thunderbird Portable from the U3 site, which was originally developed by John Haller, but is no longer supported by him for various reasons. Now the Thunderbird Portable site would be this one I assume, and you can install Thunderbird Portable fine to the regular partition of the U3 drive, but not to the Menu.

Default data is not needed, as it's just where default program data is stored before first run. Plugins can be installed fine to "TBP\Data\Plugins" I believe and the extensions folder is under "TBP\Data\Profile\Extensions"

That's all I got.

Yes, I first tried U3 and

Yes, I first tried U3 and found it to be older versions, so uninstalled & used Haller's TBP & FFP. (I open them in the portable from Windows Explorer using the exe's copied over. -- I've read of easier ways, but have no time now.)

Went to C:\Program Files\FireFox and copied over the plugins folder's contents to ...\Data\Plugins.

Although the path in "Data" is there as you said, Extensions is in the Profile folder which I copied from the hard drive. However, there is an Extensions folder in DefaultData, which is the same as in C. Should that folder be copied to the Data folder as well? (It contains only TalkBack, Inspector, & install.rdf.)
