Skype Toolbar for Firefox

I see that Skype have released a toolbar for firefox (and also IE) that allows you to place skype calls from with firefox:

I was wondering if anyone knew whether this could be made to work with Portable firefox (if so how) and thus whether it makes for an easy way to create a portable skype...

Running Skype Portable - toolbar does not work with .

I would be willing to put in the effort to port if someone could give me at least a place to start.
