sync to/from ftp

It would be nice to be able to sync to an ftp site.

agree, but...

...ftp ist not worth a thing, if it's not possible to use sftp. ftp ist generally unsecure, when not used with external encryption.
and implementing of ssh in toucan surely means a lot of work and toucan is very young.
but of course - i would love toucan and (s)ftp, if it would be done... Smile

An iteresting idea,

but I'm afraid as you said it would be hard work and as such it is a long way down the list of things to add, but maybe one day...

Toucan to FTP/SFTP Backup

This would be an awesome feature & I know a lot of people would be thrilled to have it. Now I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be worth every bit of it. It's already got over 1/2 a million hits, think about how many more hits it would get if it had ftp support. PLEASE.

An auto backup every XX

An auto backup every XX minutes/hours would be great as well. I just wanna use it to backup all my computer stuff; zip it and ftp them online. I hope the ftp thing will be implemented one day soon Smile

I

think the Windows Task Scheduler might be able to help with you first request, as for FTP you could use FileZilla, run from a Script, perhaps this page will help you: http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Command-line_arguments
