Cannot connect to GMail since upgrading

I have recently upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird Portable and since then I cannot connect to my GMail to pull my mail down into Thunderbird.

I can connect to the internet without any issues but it is not connecting to my GMail accounts to pull in my emails for my personal account an one for my business account.

Has anyone had this issue or is experiencing this issue.

Looks like your settings are wrong

Check them or post them so I/we can take a look.

Here are my server settings

Thanks for your assistance in advance

POP3 settings - pop.gmail.com port 995 and SSL
User Name - my email address up to the @
SMTP settings - smtp.gmail.com port 597 and TLS
User Name - my email address up to the @

My installation was working previously and after I upgraded from 2.0.0.5 to 2.0.0.6 it stopped working. I wouldn't have thought that doing the upgrade would have this type of effect.

Is there any other information you need.

Mine is 587.
But youre right. The update shouldnt have any effect on you data directory.

U R right

sorry ... 587 is the correct port

I don't know if this might have an effect but I'm using a data card but last night I used a hotel internet access and it didn't work.

The last time I used it from home was over the weekend which was before I upgraded to 2.0.06.

Any suggestions?

Maybe

the hotel firewall blocks the email-ports or uses a proxi you dont know about?

Same problems with Gmail and SSL

I'm having the same problems with connecting to GMail after upgrading to TB2.0.0.6 from 1.5, running on a standard USB key without using the Portable Apps launcher.

Although it seems to connect to the GMail servers (both POP and SMTP), it tells me that "Thunderbird can't connect securely to pop.gmail.com because the SSL protocol has been disabled". Likewise, it tells me that the SMTP server is not accepting the connection for a similar reason.

All my GMail settings are configured as they were for TB1.5, with the correct GMail port numbers for both POP and SMTP. I didn't change anything for the SSL during the install.

I have another version of TB portable (1.5.0.10) on another USB mobile hard drive that runs under the Portable Apps launcher, and set up an account for GMail there using the same settings -- no issues with that, so I'm wondering what's up with 2.0.0.6?

Thanks in advance for any help provided!
