As the title says. would I be able to install older games, etc, so they are installed on the portable drive, but can be used anywhere. (I am wanting to have starcraft on my pen drive)

Not all programs will work on a removable drive. In fact, most won't. Search around here, though. There's plenty of programs here, and somebody might have made a launcher for the non-portable program you're looking for.
