p-start and portable apps

so I have been using (and loving) portable apps for over a year now. I have also been using Pstart for other portable software that does not work with portable apps. So, I have two start menus on my usb drive, portable apps and pstart. This is a pain, so I placed the actual "portable apps" exe files (ie firefox) into pstart and everything works just fine. My question is, when launching the "portable apps" in this way, do still leave no trace on the pc I am using, or do I need to lauch those apps within the portables apps start menu to get the security benefits?

!

Do you mean "FireFox.exe" instead of "FireFoxPortable.exe" ?
If "yes" then it's not the correct way to do it,
you should let PStart point to the "*.*Portable.exe"
since it's the Portable.exe that takes care of "keeping the host clean".

I use the PStart/Liberta-combo in that way and it works fine ..

I

use pstart with almost every PApps.com app and there is no problem... but point pstart to the *portable.exe file always...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin
