We could use an image editor here. I was unable to find an open source image editor that looked good and wasn't written in python. Does anyone know of one?

I think the site is wxglade.sf.net, I dunno if you've seen that one, but John's working on it. Or has it done, but there's some bug with the actual program or something.
Is that the Python one you were talking about?

It's done, but it has a bug where it interprets a down and the up mouse click as a double-click (opening rather than selecting) which is damned annoying. I couldn't figure out how to fix it either.

Yea, that would be rather annoying.
P.S. MIISIM, Image VIEWER, or EDITOR, I just noticed the title says Viewer, but the post says editor.

I just checked it out again... and it's not as bad as I remember it. It only seems to happen when you drag. Maybe it was something weird on my system. I can throw the test of it out there if folks wanna check it out.

I'd love to test it, it's a really good one to have on the drive.
Last month I even put together a tango icon patcher, and a Crystal icon patcher, I'll upload the crystal one when I get a chance, I made my own mime type icons from an empty file association's image, and made a 15 x 16, since cornice cuts off the top of the mime type icons.

I hope I'm not bending any rules but have you checked http://www.portablefreeware.com/?sc=24&p=1
I know there's no open source there (only freeware), but at least there are a few options.
I've posted it live here:
