Extension problem

I have PFF 1.5 on my USB stick with the "Mr Tech Local Install" extension.
THat has a facility to specify an editor to view or edit user.js and several other files. Because you don't know what drive letter the USB stick is going to have on a particular computer I am unable to specify a command line to find an editor.
I've thought of putting notepad in the PFF exe file directory but can't get anything to happen.
Any suggestions? - "Yes" I have posted to the "Mr Tech LOcal Install" extension forum on MozillaZine Smile

Extension w/ Full Path = Incompatible

Any extension that stores a full local path to something will not be compatible with Portable Firefox by its nature.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
