Trojan detected by Sophos antivirus

Hi,
First of all, I would like to thank John for these marvelous apps.
This morning however, when I plugged my usb stick into my computer I got notified by the antivirus program on the local machine that two files are infected with the trojan "Troj/Zlob-ADU". The 2 files were: VirtualDubPortable.exe and EraserPortable.exe. The 2 files were automatically deleted.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

D.

Most likely false positives,

Most likely false positives, there have been a few reports like this in the past, but unless the infection is confirmed by multiple virus scanners, it's a false positive and should instead be reported to Sophos as such so their scans no longer detect it as an issue.

False Positives

What ZGrit said.

Please re-read the part on the support page and contact page about double-checking before making reports.

And adjust your settings in Sophos. Any antivirus that deletes files by default is pretty poorly configured. If it's set that way by default, that's a reason to rethink using that product.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
