Open source only, or redistributable too?

Open source only, or redistributable too?

Does PortableApps handle only open source software? Or can other no-charge software be included, as long as redistribution is not a problem?

Not yet...

Because we need a place to host them, so there will be a freeware server sometime in the future.

Hosting?

What is different about hosting them, versus hosting open-source-based applications? What if permission was granted to host them along with the open source group, as the open ones are done today? Or, could an individual application be hosted at its own home site?

Well.

There's free hosting for Open Source apps at SourceForge.net, but not freeware, so I don't see any reason why that would ever be changed, I don't think John is planning to add any freeware apps until he gets a dedicated server for them, I don't know about it's home site.
