I was premature a few weeks ago when I said that KompoZer 0.7.9 had been released. That was a development release only.
However, I now quote the developer:

I'm very pleased to announce that KompoZer 0.7.10 is finally available.
This release corrects many bugs of Nvu 1.0 and includes a usable version of the CSS editor, CaScadeS.
Unlike the 0.7.9.xxx snapshots, this release is stable and ready for end-users. KompoZer users are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

Apologies! I didn't see anything on this forum (which I took to be the appropriate one) with a relevant title, so I thought you'd missed it.
Incidentally, I'm not sure on the reason for keeping Nvu available. The general consensus from the now dead Nvu forum, and KompoZer forum is that Nvu should be set aside.
