Monitoring an install

I was thinking that I'd try my hand at making an installer and was wondering what tools people use to monitor an installation of an app and its running to determine if any registry changes etc are made.

I use regshot

others use regmon&filemon by sysinternals.
There are several tools.

I found and really like

I found and really like InCtrl5 (from PCMag I think). You can google for the download. It monitors registry and file changes, and optionally changes to specific INI or TXT files. The report is in an easy to read HTML page.
