Thought this site might be of interest to people seeking free open source alternatives. There is too much to list here.They also provide a download of software for use on a removeable drive ( remarkably similar to the Portable Apps Suite ).
I don't think that this link will contravene the forum posting guidelines.

The portable software is just some of the software available on this website along with PStart in a zip file...nothing special.

I did comment that the portable offerings were very similar but I should have been clearer about the other software available in the Zip file. I know it is non portable which is why I posted in the Off Topic forum " other things which might be of interest to the community".

My post wasn't intended to be a slam or anything. Just the fact that you can download the same thing here as far as the portable apps go. On the other hand, I have about 30 tabs open right now to all the other non-portable projects that looked interesting and I knew nothing about.
There's some future portable apps in there somewhere I'm sure.
