Pidgin and Wine

I tried to start PidginPortalbe under Wine. PidginPortable was loaded well. But fonts of the interface very much greater. The size of a font nearby 76pt. How I can reduce a font?
There are fonts from Windows in system (Mandriva 2007). There are fonts from Windows in Wine (0.9.44).

Pidgin = Gaim

Pidgin is the same as Gaim. It doesn't work in Wine.

Question - Whats the point

Question - Whats the point in running Pidgin or Firefox or similar programs under wine? There are native builds (that can probably be made portable even more easily then their windows counterparts)

Hmm?

Unless I'm mistaken (And I

Unless I'm mistaken (And I know I'm not when it comes to Gaim, don't know about Pidgin or Firefox), Profiles can easily be transfered between the two "flavours" of the program. I know cause I did it in Gaim 1.5.0

Hmm?

sure. but that requires a

sure. but that requires a copy/paste of all profile settings before each run. using the portable version does not require this.

Have you tried pointing the

Have you tried pointing the linux version to where the Pidgin Portable settings are stored? I don't have access to linux at the moment, but in Windows you can do that with a command line switch. a simple shell script would be enough.

Hmm?

Yep, there is --config=DIR

Yep, there is --config=DIR option. And native pidgin starts with this option. Pidgin loads profile settings from the portable version. BUT:

1. My icq profile wasn't loaded.
2. I should install a new Pidgin everywhere where I need to start a Pidgin.
