As all of ya should know Micro$oft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.

Sigh

I should seriously start doling out temporary bans for people who insist on posting "5.3 is out... where is the portable version?!?!"

How many offences- one, two

How many offences- one, two or three?
would be nice. Or just make it look like a monkey got ahold of the keyboard. With the guys around here- it'd happen once.

Is there a filter in Drupal for that?

?

Did OpenOffice 2.2 have a quickstart? If it did, ignore following ranting and raving
. . . That totally SUCKS!! It puts a "quick start" in the taskbar. (Reminds me of corel 8- how I hated that.) Anyway, I found it when I did a demo install on a computer- that would have made me so made if I couldn't have gotten my drive out becuase of that.
Begin here again . . .
Thanks.
I couldn't find the 2.2 download to compare it to- and I didn't notice it on a buddy's computer that had it. I know you guys don't mess with the program, so is this really a new things - or did you guys get it with the laucher somehow?

Again, thanks.

Every full install local version

of OO has a tray quickstart since 2.0,but it´s disabled in the portable version. So You can find it under tools/options/general/cache..There You can choose wether it should start with system boot or not..:)

It's best omitted anyway

... because QuickStart has always caused a number of odd problems with different parts of the suite. It was poorly implemented from the beginning and is not yet fixed.

If anyone is running QuickStart in any version of OOo, you'll have fewer headaches in the long run if you just disable it and launch the progam some other way.

Cheers!
