Enabling History on CDROM Version

I want to be able to use the Back/Forward button (and history.back()) functionality of the browser in the CDROM Version of Portable FF. How can I enable that functionality? Is it possible at all? Where will the History be saved (if it will be)?

AFAIK

You can enable the history but you have to do it each sessiong and the last sessions history wont get saved.

doesn't work for me

I'm displaying local HTML pages (from the CDROM) and I noticed that the local pages are not added to the history (as soon as I request a page on a remote server it shows up in the history). Also, I noticed that going backward with the [backspace] or [shift+backwards] keys work to go back even though the pages don't show up in the history.

So for me it seems there are two possibilities:
- Can I access the [backspace] key functionality from Javascript in the content?
- Can I enable that local HTML pages are added to the history?

Somebody can help me?

The behaviour is the same with FF portable 1.5.x and 2.0.x.
