portable app converter

A way to convert simple applications that either run from an executable or from their folder has an executable to run from the portable apps start menu would be sweet.
For example I use a fav undelete app called 'restoration' that is a simple executable that can restore files. It would be great to convert this or other such apps to portable apps on the fly.

Search for JauntPE or jauntpe

on these forums, download it and you can portabilize non-portable apps. It is pre-alpha but it works great and it worked on all the apps I tried to portablize except for one.

The author of JauntePE has stated not to distribute links or downloads outside of PortableFreeware.com
You can get them from http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2176

Also, the "s are unneeded. We can see the title.

Oh I did not host it outside of PortableFreeware.com

someone else did, after I asked for a link to a mirror (since I could not download it from PFW.com).

Oh and Ryan, thanx for posting the link to the forum post! Smile

Also don't forget...

...Universal Extractor.
Has worked for me about 2/3 to 3/4 of the time I've tried it on various apps I've downloaded.

Don't have a link for it at the moment, but you can find it linked to on portablefreeware.com (search).

Happy (portable) apping!...
