Portable Apps update cycle?

When using FF, TB & OO in a portable apps installation of about a week ago I notice all are the older versions even though FF 2x, TB 2x & OO 2x have been available for some time. Does the portable apps dev group update these apps with an update to portable apps or does the user have to do the update? My thought would be the dev group since they likely need to be tweaked to run inside PA but I am just wondering. The system works great as it is for my purposes & I thank the dev group for the time they have spent getting it to this point.

Yea, about 8 applications of so need to be updated but John's been pretty busy with various things, I think one of them's called a life. Hopefully updates will be released soon, the newest version of the PAM, and betas will get out of beta. We just have to wait. It's okay to update the AppName folder under the App directory, but sometimes there are changes in programs and it's best to wait for official updates.

Wow, I just noticed I still had a signature, that's enough of that.

As all of ya should know Micro$oft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.

Life?

I seem to remember that from the dim recesses of my past. Being new to portable apps it was just a question of curiosity. Thanks for the quick reply.
