I am planning to install the PortableApps Suite and I read the "Installing PortableApps Suite" and it said it is best to install it right to the root directory of your portable drive (X:\ where X is the drive letter).
My question is... where is the root directory of my portable drive?? Do I just chick on to the letter to where portable drive is at..is that the root directory??
Yes, the root directory of your drive is just the letter of the drive.
You may have study a bit about files, folders and drives :).
Thank you, Dagenham. I thought that was it but just wanted to be sure.
I know some about files and folders but nothing when it comes to drives. I agree, I do need to learn more!! Thank you for your help.
Look Lady, just...
I'm sorry I just couldn't resist.
Have an Awesome Day!
Even better was the unintentional typo of "chick" by a user named "lady".
That gave me a little chuckle.
Welcome to PortableApps.com "Lady".

Joble, Okay.. I just don't get it...I'm having one of those blonde days...please explain. I could use a laugh
He was imitating something some men say to women (ladies) they don't know. Like maybe a cop pulling you over for speeding and then saying, "Look lady, do you know you were doing 25 mph over the speed limit?". Something like that...maybe a bad example. Like I said...hard one to explain.

the comedy of the past.
Like in I Love Lucy, a lot of funny stuff starts with Hey Lady, or Look Lady.
For instance if I wanted to finish the sentence I might have typed:
Look Lady! Just search the Forums, it's been posted a hundred times.
But I didn't finish that sentence, one because I personally never tell someone to search the forums without providing at least one link from a search I've done myself, to get them started. And two, I was just trying to be funny, since your question had already been answered.
Or I might have typed:
Hey Lady! Welcome to PortableApps!
Have an Awesome Day!
Okay, Now.. I understand it.
