***0.3***
I have just cobbled together a version of PFF with my sync stuff built in. You can get it at the normal Profile Sync address http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/profilesync
Please be nice it hasnt been as easy as I was hoping.
The first version has been out three days and has had 17 downloads so what do you guys think?
P.S. Anyone seen InvisoSniper?

Okay: Syncing works great, no problems. I do have a question though...Is the 'No Sync' option supposed to not work, or am I doing something odd? Everytime I try to engage the option, there no response... Everything else works just lovely though.
Hmmm the code says abort. There must be a problem somewhere argh

Can anyone see what the problem is, I have no idea. It should work fine as the code says abort but the program refuses!

Try Quit instead
Or Try nsdbg to debug

Okey Doke. Just a little more information: (names are an approximation; I'm too used to my 'normal Firefox habitat' to surf much in the tester, and I'm trying to keep it clean for testing.) 'Always Sync...' works like it's supposed to, but 'Never Sync...' just goes on to the sync screen as if I never checked the radio button. I'm away from my computer at the second, so I'll have to test if it really will sync even though I checked 'Never' later....
The page`s leave function but Quit closes without calling the leave function

If you press back on the Main page it just closes

After:
NotAlways:
WriteINIStr $EXEDIR\Config.ini $CompName Setting "1"
MessageBox MB_OK "1 Written"
There should be Abort so it looks like this:
NotAlways:
WriteINIStr $EXEDIR\Config.ini $CompName Setting "1"
MessageBox MB_OK "1 Written"
Abort
Looks like you forgot it

0.3 is now out. It (should) fix most of the current bugs
***Edit*** It seems that sourceforge wont let me upload it at the moment so we will have to see later or even tomorrow.

Im downloading .2 now because i didn't see .3 up as of 5 min ago.
I will take a look.
Personally I use U3, so I like the profile sync by itself.
MY 2c
OK status update. All work on ALL of my apps is frozen. This is because I am working on a big new project (think U3/Ceedo) tht will integrate all of the features into one. I will then release stand alone versions of all the components once that is all sorted and released. For more information see here

I tried to get the PFX w/ Sync from the SF.net page (while PortaSoft was in DNS and the downloads didn't properly work) and the file I downloaded (ZIP) appears to be corrupt. There's nothing but a few DLLs and half of an image in it.
By the way, the U3/Ceedo project is called Libertà.

If we put together enough of these $0.02, we can build a statue of liberty!

Great as this is, I thought I would through in a heads up to:
http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/index.html
To quote Google:
"Google Browser Sync for Firefox is an extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions. For more info, please visit our FAQ."
It seems to work well for me, but has a looonnng start up time as per their warning:
"Please note: Google Browser Sync must update your browser settings whenever you start Firefox. This will increase the start-up time of Firefox (the time between clicking on the Firefox icon and loading your start page) – please bear with us as we work to decrease this delay."
Give it a shot, maybe it could give you a few ideas.
hate to tell you this but I haven't been supporting or developing PFF w Sync for at least 3 months, since before Google released it. I have since been working on the Liberta Project stuff.
