Backup

Learn the Golden Rules of computers:

1. Backup,
2. backup,
3. backup :).

Try Undelete Plus (http://undelete-plus.com/) or similar software, it might help.

By the way, it's a bit strange behaviour from the PA installer... at least, a question would be nice.

I was wrong

I am sorry I was wrong,
I had put my files in another place and I forgot about it (got confused because of same structure of folders I used to use)

thanks for the backup thing, it reminded me of that

I checked, PA installer does not overwrite folder contents

I am sorry again and thanks

when i update..

thePAM, i always copy all of the contents of my drive to my desktop excluding the PAM. this way i have all of my apps and documents and the new menu is free to delete everything!

thogh if you need a handy backup utility and your running xp home, then you can search deep into your "System 32" folder for "ntbackup".

**Edit** you posted as i was replying so my post seems kinda out of order.
