hi,
i am new to portable apps so i just installed the base version and several apps. when i couldn't get toucan working i deleted everything and started again. now i only have the base version of portable apps and toucan installed.
[i am running windows xp and portable apps is installed on a usb pendrive]
i run portables apps from the system tray and click on the toucan icon to launch the application. i then goto the secure tab, add a file and a password and click encrypt. it tells me:
"toucan error" execution of command 'App\toucan\burp -eo-k"password" "filename" failed (error 3: the system cannot find the path specified)
i am no computer newb so i guess it doesn't know the folder toucan is running from and hence can't find 'App\toucan\burp'. this is proved because if i browse to the toucan app .exe (F:\PortableApps\Toucan\toucan.exe) and run toucan from here everything works fine.
i have tried installing toucan from both the portable apps menu and by clicking on the .paf.exe file but both routes have the same problem.
have i missed something or is this a bug?
thanks,
stewart
Steve's away for the next week, so until he gets back, I think it may be that the "filename" file doesn't exist.

thanks for the reply but its definitely the burp.exe it can't find. i have tried with more than one file. its something to do with running the app from the menu rather than double clicking the toucan.exe file. the latter seems to know where the burp.exe is and the former doesn't.
Update to the latest version of the beta. It's the working directory bug.
