I just learned that you can password protect the files in a zipped folder using Windows XP. Would it be possible to create a single password protected zip folder to place all of the contents of a USB stick in (including the Portable Apps suite) as a means of security?

Sorta. You could do this if you wanted to zip and re-zip every time you're finished. So, it's not practical at all.

It would be better to get a virtual drive program. Then you have all your programs protected, and it works as fast as a physical drive would.
