1.0 on Pre-XP
That occurs if you use 1.0 on a pre-Windows XP machine. Grab 1.0.1 (or the 1.1 Beta) and install it over 1.0. It will then work on Windows 95 through Vista.

...but I would suggest getting PortableApps.com Platform 1.1 Beta 4, the newer version.

Please Stop
While you may enjoy the PAM Mod, please refrain from continuously promoting it when it is not appropriate. It's an unofficial, unsupported fork that should not be promoted to average users. You've been posting about it in every post about PAM that comes up and it's getting old.
The user here asked why there was an error. He was given the answer (apply the patch). It has nothing at all to do with PAM Mod.
