Okay, I realize that both teamspeak and ventrilo are closed sourced and their license forbids their modifications... but is there anything LIKE them that can or already has been made portable?

Skype has been made portable. I have never used any VoIP programs, so I cannot tell you if it is similar or not.
Remember to search the forums first:

There are other posts, if you search.
Skype's not what I'm after.
Teamspeak (and Vent) are purely Voip that work on a client/server model, and you can run your own server legally. I call Skype an IM program through.

After reading that page I just linked to, I did find this: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Main_Page
Hmm?
Teamspeak sounds pretty neat. That would be nice to have.
Dont remember where I saw this, but someone said that most apps you download from SourceForge are natively portable, or at least work.
I am going to try Mumble out, and see what it does.
I didn't like it real much. I dont think this is what you are looking for.
No, after trying it out... It's not as good as Teamspeak sadly.
Hmm?
There are many posts about teamspeak portable... even in the TS forum...
And btw, you can run TS directly from your PDrive... just copy the folder...
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
You can? Okay, I'm going try that Thank you.
Hmm?
