Firefox on Network share and java

Hi everybody

I have been using portable firefox 2.0.0.8 from a network share. I cannot run any java applets on the pages (They work fine in IE. a pity).

Could this be a problem that different computers on the network have different versions of java installed at different locations and firefox just cant find java. if it is so, is there any way to fix it.

Or any other reasons you can think of.

Likely a mix-up with Java Versions.

The likely case is that the computer you're trying to use doesn't have Sun Java installed, which is different than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine (which is included & usually used with IE).

Since Firefox Portable is depending on the computer having JRE (which is Sun's Java) being installed, Java apps fail when it's not found. I wished there was a way to tell Firefox (portable or not) WHERE Java is... but somebody will have to add it to the wish list before something will actually happen to make it possible.
