For the youtube thing

I think you can use the extension called "ADblock" or Adblock-plus.

tabs reloading at restart

Usually indicated that that you closed Firefox improperly, so it is acting like a 'recovery'.
Is that what happened for you?

so unckeck that box

If you've set (or someone else set) that option to reopen them whenever you start firefox, it'll do it. And if your tab for the youtube is set to a particular file, it automatically plays as if you just clicked on it.

If you have a collection of websites that you want to open all at once, you can open a whole bunch of booksmarks. First you would have all the tabs you want open. Then from Bookmarks, you can choose to "Bookmark All Tabs" and give it a name. Then when you open your browser, you can click down to the Bookmarks collected list you made and right-click to choose to open all the bookmarks in tabs.

By the way, where is that option that you are talking about? I can't find it on my copy of firefox, Under Tools - Options.

found that option

under the Tools - Options - Main tab.
Okay then, yeah, I'd change it to show home page or show blank.

Blocks Ads. :P

Or with youtube, it will block them, but then when you switch the to page, you can allow the flash or whatever it is.

Flashblock

Flashblock is the extension you are looking for. Search for it on Google or the addons site.

Use NoScript extension

The best thing I can suggest for you is to install NoScript ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 ). It'll block JavaScript, Java, Flash & any other plugins from running in your browser WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.

It will make some sites a pain to work until you allow them, but it'll prevent YouTube videos (which are in Flash) from loading & playing until you're ready. You'll have to click on the spot where to YouTube vid should be & hit OK to load it up (on a per-incident basis, assuming you're not giving permission for YouTube).

It might be overkill, but it's better than nothing... & it doesn't hurt to have a little paranoia control either.
