Portable Encryption

Hi

I know this has been asked quite alot(I did a search first) and read most of search results.

I am hoping maybe that since some of those topics where old and long that maybe someone has found something new.

For the last few days I been searching for an encryption program but could not find any good ones.

I tried programs like dekart private disk,Remora USB Disk Guard, FreeOTFE and they all have failed me. I could not even really get Remora to work like when I opened up there program and added some files and then closed the program down I was still able to open the file without password.

All the other programs I used needed admin rights. I can't use a program that needs to be installed on a computer or needs admin rights.

What I need is:

1. on the fly encrytion
2. no admin rights

Like I am starting to think there is nothing like this. If I can't get on the fly encryption(since I don't want to encrypt/decrypt ever file each time) then I guess I won't have encryption then since my stuff is not that important to secure but it would be nice to have it encrypted regardless(can start good habits when one day I might need to have encrypted files on my usb key).

Thanks

TrueCrypt +

TrueCrypt + TCExplorer

TCExplorer allows one to access TrueCrypt volumes without admin privliges.

That's not exactly

That's not exactly on-the-fly (en/de)cryption. I don't think that's what he wants. It's been discussed before, but that type of OTF encryption requires a device driver, which is not going to be portable without admin rights.

TCExplorer works without

TCExplorer works without Admin rights (I'm told) so that can be an alternative to the full TrueCrypt.

Without Admin rights you either end up with one of the more expensive "Secure" USB drives (and be careful, because some say "secure" but aren't really or require admin), or you go with the decrypt-edit-encrypt scenario.
