I'm in school and I have a research project due on wednesday about open disk, and I have no idea where to start. Is it like the open office portables? My professor didn't explain anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Be a bit more clear as to what your paper is about. Is it about The OpenDisc project, or OpenDisc Communication Company, or the mathematical open disk, or something entirely different?

I'm really not sure. Half the class recieved open office and the other half got open disk...Nothing was explained so I am guessing it relates to open office in some fashion. I have never heard of open disk, thats why I need help. lol. please.
I think it may be the first link you posted, The opendisc project, but I'm still not sure about it. I know its not mathematical....Thank you so much for your help though. You don't understand how much you just saved me.
I can help you out. Perhaps move this post to off-topic as it's not completely on topic I think.
The Open Disc
O, I don't know how to move messages, but I thought that this was a general thread so that's why I put it here. Just a newbie mistake i guess...

Anywho, just go edit your post with the tab at the top of it, and under category select off-topic.
So, The OpenDisc is just a continuation of The OpenCD, which was a project co-ordinated by Canonical, the creators of Ubuntu Linux. Read the Wikipedia Articles on The OpenCD and The OpenDisc. Then you can read the current project developer's blog with the article on how the OpenDisc was created, here.
The OpenDisc is basically just a downloadable CD Compilation of Open Source software that you can give to friends so they put in the CD and install the software from the CD Menu.

Patrick, how come you don't use that GMail account I gave you?
I used it for a while, but now I have one at my domain, and the GMail one is too cluttered with mailing lists, and I didn't want to give her my real address, so i have her hotmail since I only have a few e-mails in their and it will take less time to load.
I went the other night and made a new alias for a bunch of providers using my full name, like yahoo, gmail, hotmail, icq, etc.
OK then...
