In these days, I'm thinking to create a portable apps repository system (for example, Dev-C++'s devpak or linux repositories) to simplify install and update software in ASuite 1.5 and fork wPPL 1.5.

But I want to create this project not only for Portable Apps (if John agree) or winpenpack.com and ASuite or wPPL, but other website (winpenpack.com, portablefreeware.com, etc...) and launchers (PortableApps Menu, Liberta AutoStart and others launcher app open source), too.

John (or others), do you want to colloborate for this project?

I guess many of you will know Kaspersky Anti-Virus. It`s imho (!) a good and scanner. You can get more informations about their products on http://www.kaspersky.com/.

It`s a commercial product, their is a free trial version but them want you to buy a license.

This instructions will explain how you can use Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.x in a p ortable way.

A FAQ page could help diminish *some* of the repeated and repeated and repeated queries. ( I know, not all repeats, that is just how us newbies are --- weren't you like that once?)

Also, something I saw at another software's wiki that might be useful here --
a list of requested features, users add to the list and/or vote for additional features.

How about a list of applications that have already been requested that CANNOT be adapted for PortableApps?

A suggestion for the forums:

It could be a limitation of Drupal, in conjunction with hardware resource issues, but these forums are not very easy to navigate and lack a lot of navigation features I find in other forums (eg vBulletin-based ones).
As the site grows and more postings occur, these navigation and organisational features become more important. Simple things like:

• Viewing new posts
• Mark posts as "read"
• Adding the forum name to the Recent Posts list
• Options to view topics in either threaded or list mode.

rss feed with the 3 new apps (KeePass, Putty, PDF)

Hi, I've add Total Commander to Portable Apps Menu.

In the main folder of TC there are few exe files. Total Commander use all of them to work correctly, but i want to see only totalcmd.exe in the Portable Apps Menu. I don't want to see in the menu the rest of exe files. But i cannot delete them, because there are used by TC. Is it possible to do this?

Anyone know of a program to sync Firefox Bookmarks?
Not just copy the bookmarks file, actually sync the bookmarks themselves.
Its the one thing that really, really bugs me about mozilla's bookmarks.
mozilla/netscape used to use favorites ages ago but had to change to bookmarks.
(anti Microsoft is one thing, but at some point it becomes counter productive, i.e. bookmarks)
Every sync program on the planet can sync favorites since they are separate files, but I haven't found a single one that will sync bookmarks.
