Thought I'd pin PortableAppsPlatform.exe to the status bar so I wouldn't have to open the USB drive each time and run it. What happens, though, is a new instance is started each time you click it.

I've seen programs have the option "allow only one instance", but didn't see this in PortableApps anywhere...

For instance, running Objectdock, that hides the status bar, you have no access to PortableApps, so pinning it would allow you to bring it up as needed.

I was expecting chrome portable to behave more like firefox portable. I need the ability to save bookmarks, passwords, history, ect... Is this possible?

I plan to travel Thailand for shopping and try to find an app for currency in appstore. I found the one called "Travel Buddy - Currency" that is quite cutie. Any other suggestion?

While I appreciate having mollum activated, and hope it cuts back on the spam, I wonder If there's a way to disable the verification for users that have had a specified number of posts successfully submitted?

I have looked everywhere and cannot find the type of portable app creator that I want.
Basically I want to create a portable application that is sandboxed.
For example, if you open a portable Firefox and go to File-->"Save page as", and save the file on desktop,
the sandboxed Firefox would not save the webpage to desktop
but instead it would save to
%Firefox portable Directory%\Sandbox\%root directory%\Users\Admin\Desktop\

The last time I looked at this site (June 2010), the platform and a large collection of apps were available in one download. This was very convenient but I no longer find such an offering on the site! Is this a thing of the past?

I've noticed twice that it "seems" that my
Check for Updates only finds new updates when
I update the Portable Apps Menu itself. When I do that
and then do a Check for Updates it finds new updates.
I update all the new apps (Except I keep an old version
of Thunderbird because I like the Penelope Plugin)...
Then after that it doesn't find any new apps until
the next time I update the Portable apps menu (When a
new version comes out)...Has anyone else noticed this?

Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but every game I have purchased from gog.com is compatible with portable apps. Anyone else notice this?
