I'm getting this error when I try to download 7-Zip from the PortableApps Platform:

with my computers (W7 and W10) I have the same behaviour.

When the systems were new (or reformatted) the launchers (the programs created with PortableApps Launcher) worked fine.
After some time (may be after other programs installations), Windows, EVERY TIME I launch a PApps applications (EVERY APPLICATIONS), show the window to execute them with admin privileges.

The normal programs start normally.

How can you explain this? An how can I correct it?

Loading on to 2nd pc thunderbird did not show my 5 email accounts and I seem to have lost all my folders and all my current and saved email history. What it did request was to set up an initial email account - which I did - and this obviously modified my profile. Somewhere I found that if my address book was accessible then perhaps the rest (all that I have seemingly lost) could be still available. I have looked at my profile and there are some large files - might these be my history and lost files. Can I rescue these files. I am a relative novice in this area. Help please.

I have seen Walmart branded thumb drives--the Onn line.

Has anyone used them? I am rather hesitant to use it, when I can get an equivalent storage drive for just a couple bucks more fom sandisk or kingston.

But I'm always open to saving money. I suppose people here use a lot of thumb drives, so I'm wondering if folks here have had good or bad experiences with that line.

When I click a link in an e-mail a new window of Firefox opens (without my add ons, bookmarks and settings) instead of the link to be opened in the same Firefox window.

How could I correct it?

Hi, I have problem with Portable Firefox, it is my default browser to start links but when I click on link on Viber Desktop it launches Firefox in new window with other profile which is located in Roaming profile on system disk...Now I have 2 windows of same program running 2 different profiles...How to manage this, I want to open links with my main profile, which is on usb drive? I think that some recent update of Portable Firefox make that, I run this setup normally for many years...

Hi there. I have an OLD program I need to use maybe once, not sure of it's condition. I know nothing about what to use or how to about running it in a safe environment, the terms I have heard of are sandbox and VM (Virtual Machine) I suppose. and help here is appreciated, I am using old WIN7 and have an XP available.

I am confused: I setup a new PC and copied all my portable apps to the new PC (to the very same location indeed). Nevertheless, if I open my portable chrome browser it reopens my last session but all my extensions are gone. Any thoughts why? I was the opinion that all data can be simply copied and that's it...
