Windows XP/Vista/7/8/32-bit Compatible Apps Available and Requested

I'm working on adding legacy builds of our officially-released apps that have dropped support for Windows XP, Vista, or 7 to the base app homepages. The goal is to make them easier to find for folks on legacy systems. I'm listing out completed packages and packages that are being researched and built below. The packages are designed to install alongside your main app installs and won't be updated to the latest version - breaking compatibility with your legacy OS - by the PA.c Platform. We don't need copies of any of the apps listed, thanks.

Outdated Official Portable Applications

Welcome to the PortableApps.com outdated apps tracker. Please post a comment for any outdated official apps that aren't already listed with AppName Version as the title (no dashes, Vs or other text). Before posting a request, please make sure that their stable Windows build is available and they have been announced by their publisher (just being available on a download/ftp server, github, or 3rd party site doesn't count as the app may not yet be official). Comments will be deleted as they are added.

Right Click Default

Submitted by Sirmadsen on October 8, 2025 - 1:06am

Hi,

Is there any way to make right click the default way to interact with portableapps taskbar icon?

I use several monitors and for some reason the left click window is having trouble staying on my main screen after a reboot. I also just enjoy the simple right click menu more.

Can I change some settings file somehow?

But why not just use right click?
- Muscle memory, left click is the way to go.

Themes / Skins

Submitted by GiGo on October 2, 2025 - 8:33am

I posted something ages ago about skins/themes but didn't get any replies.

Is skinning or applying themes to the App Launcher possible without modifying the 'default' skins? I've searched and found very little other than using patheme files or a folder located in `PortableApps\PortableApps.com\Data\Themes` but that didn't work, I also tried the default directory for themes and that didn't work.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or at least tell me if it's possible?

chrome offline installers do not work (error 404 not found)

Submitted by j8619621 on September 27, 2025 - 1:43pm

I can't find any offline installer for a specific old chrome version and the online installer has failed as I expected with an error 404 not found. I can not use latest version as it is not compatible with my OS. Can you please replace the online installers with offline installers, for all old versions of chrome?

I think I can fix the issue with Google Chrome Portable not loading extensions?

I also upgraded from 139 to 140, but all my add-ons are still there.

First, delete everything in the [Data] folder next to the app in the portable version of Google Chrome. Please save your Google Chrome data beforehand to avoid losing it.

Then restart Google Chrome, log in to your Google Account, and sync your data. Once the sync is complete, all your existing add-ons will automatically load and install in Google Chrome.
