Menu Font

Submitted by hwfa on August 27, 2014 - 2:55pm

I just installed PortableApps 12.0.1 on my Win XP system. It seems the menu font has changed. I don't like the new font - it's too big and so the list of my apps no longer fits in a single "page" of the menu. Is there an option I can tweak to change the font back to what it was before?

It has come to my attention that a great many posts in the PortableApps forums have gone without attention while some have dozens and dozens of comments. I don't know why this is happening, but it is. I know that you guys are trying your best to make sure everyone has a great experience using PortableApps, but this still happens. I have seen forum posts months old that have no comments. Personally, I don't think that the people are to blame, but the forum structure.

https and signatures for portableapps.com website and software

Hi devs & site admins!

No https connection is possible to your portableapps.com website. So downloading isn't secured against modifying binaries while they fly by... Login passwords aren't confidential, too.
https throws the following error: "ssl_error_rx_record_too_long".
Is this intentional?

Furthermore no GnuPG signatures of the binaries are provided.
Is this good practise in the post-snowden era?

Tray App Menu Labels - How should they be changed?

Due to an oversight, we now have 2 "Apps" entries in the system tray right-click menu. The first for the same Apps popup menu as in the main menu with Check For Updates, Get More Apps, etc in it. The second for the new Apps list in the system tray right-click menu. Now, having both is a bit silly. So, we have some options.
