Are there any problems or issues arising from putting PortableApps on a U3 USB Flash Drive? Would I be better off getting a Flash Drive without U3 software installed?

I am new to the Portable Apps discussions and I must say John, I am incredibly impressed.

What do you have in the works?
(no I am not asking for timelines) just the apps you are slowly working on to eventually get released is all...

Thinstall is a client-less application virtualization solution that allows applications to be packaged into simple EXE files that run in user-mode isolated from the host PC without installation or changes to the local desktop’s registry and file system.

Couldn' t you ADD a second line with links to second, third (and so on) pages on TOP of each thread page (in order to let us reach follow-up pages WITHOUT having to scroll all the way down each time...

what's the best portable partitioning program out there?

How do you create the autorun file could someone upload or something. Ive tried to copy it from page on this site then ive also had the program make its own nothing works to make it autorun all it does is change drive icon

Obviously I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes with the Firefox licensing and all, but as of tomorrow it'll have been a month since a new announcement. It seems like John & friends still reply promptly, so I assume the only thing slowing the process down is technical/business issues. I for one feel something really big is coming.

Not trying to sound like I'm impatient - I appreciate the work that goes into portableapps.com and am very thankful for your dedication.

i just copied it form harddrive to flash drive then clicked exe in phone folder inside skype folder and it works is this breaking the user terms and has anyone else done this. It works for me

SourceForge.net recently updated its mirroring selection system. In the process, they introduced a bug that breaks every external link into a SourceForge download. I have a priority support request into them to fix it.

In the meantime, you can copy and past the link into a new tab/window for it to download. Just right-click on a download button or link and select Copy Link Location (IE user's: Copy Shortcut). Then open a new tab or window, right-click on the address bar and select Paste. Then click enter.

You can also use the SourceForge icon in the download details sections of the project pages to browse into the SourceForge project page and select a download from there.
