Chromium Browser

Submitted by farat_as on March 1, 2014 - 9:37am

Hi,

There are many privacy concern with Google Chrome as you know. Also about SRWare Iron as we disccuss on this forums: https://portableapps.com/node/34465 (and you can search google google for it)

Why we don't use Chromium builts which are open source and stable enough as you can test them too.

The stability of Chromium is not problem of PortableApps.com project. PortableApps's purpose is to make apps portable as their own format.

Here is a good built for Windows:

Is there a portable software that limits the reading of data on your flash drive? Where you have private files or software, you do not want to share with some computers on the Internet. With Truecrypt, you have to send a file to your home computer to make the enryption or decryption to work.I just want to limit what can be read, and what can't be read on the internet on a Portable application.

EveryPass - password manager

Submitted by kubakk on February 27, 2014 - 5:42am

Program: EveryPass
License: GPL
Website: https://www.consunet.com.au/products/everypass/

EveryPass is a HTML5 based password manager that allows cross domain password management on modern, web enabled devices (computers, tablets, phones). EveryPass is not a service, it is a standalone, self contained application that uses the browser as a runtime environment but runs offline too. Persistence is performed by injecting user's AES 256 encrypted data into a copy of itself and saving the resultant file to the local file system. With no user data, EveryPass is only 67Kb in size.

Hornil StylePix

Hornil Style Pix comes very close to Photoshop in its possibilities. It's the little brother of Hornil StylePix Pro.

The Pro version is not free, but Hornil StylePix (without the "Pro") is.

I've no idea of the license type.

The website is:
http://hornil.com/en/products/stylepix/

It actually works without installation, but leaves various stuff behind in the registry (and maybe elsewhere).
