Request Apps

Hi i would like to request a portable p2p (especially limewire) to be developed, besides utorrent.

Before I start I want to say im not sure how hard it is to make these portable apps so I dont want to appear smug by asking this. To start Clam Win is a good AV but its allways nice to have multiple AV/Spyware scanners to use when your cleaning off an infected system. Im not sure whatopen source spyware removers are good but im sure the devs here at portable apps would be open to some suggestions from others. Also it would be nice to have a cd burning suite.

1. Create a folder in Portable apps Folder. Name it anything.

2. Unzip your download into your created folder.

3. Create another folder and Hide "upx" as well as "PackxNero" in your created folder in the same directory. Because u don't want it sticking in your Launcher. Get it?

3. Thats it. Now start your launcher. Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip. you have Nero on your Sticky drive.

I know most people suggest games for Portable Apps, but why not do NSIS, the actual programming software used to create portable applications for Portable Apps?

I was looking on digg and saw this cool app that reminds you when your about to log out of the computer to remove your usb key.

However it requires you to install some script to your logout and enable it and this is just not very feasible for me since I use a school computer and it would be a pain to do this. I would have to do all these steps everytime I go to a school computer(and I usually have to change computers every 2 hours so I would be doing this like 4 times a day).

TeamViewer is fully free for non-commercial users, and it would be possible to make it portable in the sense that is meant here, so e.g. that TeamViewer leaves no traces in registry.

I've tried the search (yes honestly I have) and can't find anything yet.
I'm looking for a "news ticker" and/or "finance ticker" that can run just from USB stick. Using GreatNews as an RSS viewer, but looking for a scrolling ticker.

The one on http://www.bbc.co.uk is similar but wants installing like the one for http://www.nasdaq.com

Has anyone come across a standalone ticker that can be used please ? (sorry not an RSS viewer)
