It would be very helpful if there were a ready-made DOS that would boot straight from the box. One could use this for reformatting a hard drive, troubleshooting, etc.

Also, if there were a program that would simply reformat all drives, then shut itself off, that would be helpful.

this website leads to a virtual desktop application for Windows. They have directions to make it portable, even, but requires things that not everybody is willing to mess with, even with the directions.

So, if I don't want to go through the time to load up Firefox, but I still want to see the weather forecast/current conditions, I would like to be able to see it as a little widget. That way you glance at it quickly before you run out the door.
