freeSSHd

Submitted by Parmenion on May 7, 2008 - 2:35am

Hi,

I've not yet found a request for a freeSSHd implementation. Maybe some with more knownledge then I have could do it.

License: freeware?

Homepage: freeSSHd

quote from the homepage: freeSSHd, like it's name says, is a free implementation of an SSH server. It provides strong encryption and authentication over insecure networks like Internet. Users can open remote console or even access their remote files thanks to buit-in SFTP server.

Thanks

ISO Reader

I was wondering if anyone has developed an app that can run .iso files on the hard drive instead of having to burn them to a disc. I searched the forum, but only saw mention of apps that I do not see in the list of supported apps. Does anyone know if there is one available yet?

syncback - backup utility

Submitted by joelherzog on May 5, 2008 - 2:44pm

I don't know if this one was already mentioned but I didn't have time to go through the full list of requests.

SyncBack is a full featured, easy yet powerful backup and synchronization utility.

It's already completely free and quite small so integrating it as a portable app should be fairly easy.

Remember SideKick (circa 1989)

Does anyone remember the popular "SideKick" TSR program from the late 80's and early 90's? I used that program all of the time. The most valuable part of the program was the ability to journal with a time and date stamp to each new entry.

With the quick keyboard shortcut, it would pop-up my journal (just a simple TXT file) where I could record my telephone conversations, meetings, anything that I was working on. I was able to use it to refer back to past activities, etc.

I really wish there was an application available today that would allow me to do this. Anyone aware of one???
